Connecting on alarm
With the appropriate configuration, a connection between a sender and a receiver is made
automatically when an alarm is triggered (see Section 5.24 Advanced Mode: Alarm Connections,
page 53). After a short time the live video image from the sender appears on the connected
monitor.
This option can also be used to connect a sender and a compatible receiver using a switch
connected to the alarm input. You do not need a computer to make the connection in this
case.
Connecting with a terminal program
Various requirements must be met in order to operate with a terminal program (see
Section 8.9 Communication with terminal program, page 101).
1. Start the terminal program and enter the command 4 in the main menu to switch to the
Rcp+ menu.
2. Enter the command c in the Rcp+ menu to change the remote IP address, then enter the
IP address of the unit you wish to connect to.
3. In the Rcp+ menu, enter command 1 to activate automatic connection.
Closing the connection with a terminal program

Rcp+ menu.
2. In the Rcp+ menu, enter command 3 to deactivate automatic connection.
