Faults Cause/remedy
The appliance will not start. Check the mains plug and the fuses.
The programme will not start Make sure that:
The door is closed.
Childproof lock Childproof lock has been deactivated
You have pressed
Note: If the programme has been delayed by setting Fertig in
(Ready in) the programme will start later.
Creasing Load or spin speed too high.
Wrong programme for the type of fabric. All the required information
can be found in the programme table. ~ Page 25
Detergent/fabric softener drips
off the seal and collects on the
door or in the seal fold
Too much detergent/fabric softener in the detergent drawer. Observe
the max marking in the detergent drawer.
There is detergent residue on
the laundry
Some phosphate-free detergents contain water-insoluble residue.
Start Schleudern/Abpumpen (Spin/Drain)
Brush the laundry after washing
The door cannot be opened If the temperature or the water level is too high, the safety function is
activated. Wait until the temperature has dropped or start the Spin/
Drain programme.
If you want to add laundry, you must interrupt the programme by
pressing (Start/Pause).
Check whether the childproof lock E has been activated.
Check whether Rinse Stop~ ~~ is set.~ Page 34
If you have excluded the previous options, run through the emer-
gency release process. ~ Page 39
Drum starts rotating briefly sev-
eral times.
Not a fault – the unbalanced load detection system is eliminating an
imbalance.
Spin results not satisfactory.
Laundry is wet/too damp.
Check whether:
The spin speed was set too low
Note: The appliance has an unbalanced load detection system, which in-
terrupts the spin cycle when the laundry is unevenly distributed.
Display has gone out If (Start/Pause) flashes, energy saving mode is activated. Press any but-
ton.
The detergent solution is not
being pumped out
Make sure that:
The drain pump has been cleaned ~ Page 44
The drain pipe and the outlet hose are clean ~ Page 46
The appliance is not filling with
water
Detergent is not being dis-
pensed
Check whether
(Start/Pause) is pressed
The water tap is open
The filter in the water inflow is not blocked ~ Page 46
The inlet hose is not kinked or trapped
