Measuring your blood pressure
The pump starts to inflate the cuff.
The monitor has an intelligent automatic
inflation system for gentle inflation to the
correct cuff pressure.
The increasing cuff pressure is displayed.
When the required pressure is reached,
the pump switches off and the air is re-
leased slowly from the cuff.
Interrupting a measurement:
A measurement can be interrupted at any
stage by pressing the start button; the cuff
deflates automatically.
During the measurement phase the
descending cuff pressure and the flashing
symbol are displayed (see illustra-
tion 6).
