The suitability of the products for effective machine cleaning/disinfection with
the use of an aldehyde-free combined cleaning and disinfection agent
(Gigasept® Instru AF) has been demonstrated by BOWA.
BOWA recommends the use of neutral to slightly alkaline cleaning agents or
cleaning and disinfecting agents containing no potentially harmful ingredients.
Alcoholic and/or aldehydic ingredients may be permissible, depending on the
concentration.
If alkaline cleaners (pH 9.511.5) are used, discolouration of metallic surfaces
is possible. This does not render the product inoperable. Strong alkaline
cleaners (pH > 11.5) must be avoided.
When using alkaline cleaners (pH 9.5 to 11.5) discolorations are possible with
metallic surfaces. This does not lead to inoperability of the product. Strong
alkaline cleaner (pH> 11.5) should be avoided.
