This brief review contains the essential
information on the basic functions of the
CC4 for users who only wish to use the
basic functions. In case of doubt, refer to
the detailed instructions (these also include
advanced functions not covered in this
review).
@ With a 220V/50 Hz power supply, insert
mains cord plug in wall outlet. The CC4
switches to standby mode on connection
with the mains. Display: .
Storing station
settings
@ Connect FM antenna to jack “75 Q”.
This jack can also be used to connect the
enclosed auxiliary antenna.
@ Connect audio sources to the appropri-
ately labelled cinch jacks (“phono” “cd”
“TV") on the rear of the unit.
@ Connect tape decks (including three-
head units) to the jacks “in tape? out” and
nin tape2 out”. The “in" jacks are used for
inputs to tape playback, the “out” jacks for
output to tape recording. Selecting a preset
station
@ Connecting the power amplifier: connect
the audio cable from the power amplifier
input to the “pre out1” jacks and in case
the “speaker remote” jack (e.g. on the
‘ PAA) to “speaker remote” on the CC4 using
the control cable enclosed with the power
amplifier.
The CC4 Control Center can be operated
either from the controls on the unit or from
the remote control unit. Stations can only
be stored using the controls on the unit.
With remote control flap closed, move the
address selector A to “audio”. Open flap by
pressing release button B.
@ Press “on/standby” button. The position
of switches and controls on switching off is
displayed:
e.g. 94.40 V40 followed by P1.
Playback from
other audio
sources
@ Press the “ out1,, button to switch on the
“pre out1” output. The display shows
“out?” . Switch on the loudspeakers con-
nected to the power amplifier on these Setting volume
amplifier or — with connected control cable level
—on the remote control unit using “spea-
ker, and “1”.
if display shows VOO0:
@ Release mute by pressing “a0”.
Display: e.g. V40.
Tape recording
Activate loudness compensation:
@ Press “loudn.” button until display shows
“loudn.”. Switching off
Switch on or over to fm reception.
Press “fm“ button (on CCA4).
Display: e.g. 94.40 P1.
Activate search up or down to the next
Station offering adequate reception.
@ Press “auto tune+” or “auto tune—”.
Display: e.g. 95.20.
Repeat search
@ Press “auto tune+" or “auto tune»
until the desired frequency or program Is
located.
Use the following sequence (on the CC4
only) to store the station currently received
in a station memory.
@ Press “memo” button. “memo” blinks.
While “memo” is blinking:
@ press “program >” or ”« program”
rocker bar until the desired program num-
ber is located. Display: e.g. EMPTY P2.
While program number is blinking:
@ press , memo" button. Display: e.g.
95.20 P2.
Switch on or over to fm reception.
@ Press “fm” button.
Selecting preset station on CC4.
@ Press rocker bar “program >” or
“program”, repeating until the desired
program number is displayed. Display: e.g.
94.90 P1.
Selecting preset station from remote control
unit.
@ Key in program number on numerical
keypad, using buttons 1—0 for programes
1-10. Continuous pressure on a button will
successively add 10 tothe number,e.g.
pressing “2” once selects program 2, main-
taining pressure advances the selection to
12, then 22.
Switch on or over to audio source.
@ Press corresponding button “tape1”
“tape2” “phono” or “cd”. if using the
remote control unit, key in “tape” first
followed by “1” or “2”. Display: T1, T2, PH
or CD.
Use the rocker bar or the buttons
@ “—volume” or “volume+”. A single
activation changes the level by 1 dB, con-
tinuous pressure continues the change.
Display: e.g. VOLO to VOL 80.
The audio source shown in the display and
playing over the loudspeakers can be
recorded on cassette or tape decks connec-
ted to “tape1” or “tape2”.
@ Press “on/standby” button. Display: dot
in display (CC4 is in standby mode).
