The
headphones
should
only
be
connected
during
listening.
Before
inserting
the
head-
phone
plug,
reduce
volume
setting
using
the
joint
volume
control
for
headphone
and
loudspeaker
and.set
volume
after
putting
received
-on
headphones.
Signal
processors
e.g.
equalizers
can
be
connected
between
the
CC4
and
the
power
amplifier(s).
In
this
case
connect
the
CC4
output
jacks
with
the
inputs
of
the
equalizer,
and
connect
the
outputs
of
the
equalizer
with
the
input
jacks
on
the
power
amplifier.
Inthe
“audio”
setting,
the
remote
control
can
be
used
to
operate
suitably
equipped
record
players
(e.g.
P4)
and
cassette
decks
(e.g.
C3,
C4)
through
the
CC4.
The
remote
control
signals
received
by
the
CC4
sensor
are
transferred
through
the
jacks
“phono
remote”,
“tape1
remote”
and
“tape2
remote”
to
the
“remote”
inputs
on
the
units,
using
the
8-pin
circular
connector
cable
enclosed
with
the
CC4.
The
ground
wire
to
the
record
player
also
has
to
be
connected.
Tuning
(special
cases)
Copying
The
jacks
master]
remote”
and
“master2
remote”
are
for
connecting
cables
from
RR1
remote
control
receivers
set
up
in
other
rooms.
For
remote
operation
of
a
CD
player
(e.g.
CD4)
in
this
way,
connect
the
“master
remote”
jacks
on
the
CD
player
and
the
CC4
(using
8-pin
circular
connector
cable
with
nonconcentric
contacts).
The
“speaker
remote”
jacks
are
for
connecting
cables
for
remote
speaker
selection
and
automatic
power
amplifier
switch-on.
Four
switched
AC
power
outlets
are
pro-
vided
on
the
CC4
for
simultaneous
switch-
on/off
(including
the
timer
operation
via
the
CCA)
of
other
units
connected
in
the
hifi
system.
The
units
must
comply
with
DIN
57860
part |
safety
class
Il
requirements.
The
AC
outlets
have
a
common
5A
fuse.
Muting
Stations
weakly
Additional
functions
in
order
to
tune
to
weakly
received
stations
(CC4
only),
press
@
“h.blend”
and
use
@
“man.tune+“
or
“man.tune—”
to
tune.
In
manual
tuning,
“h.blend”
disables
auto-
matic
muting
of
interference
between
sta-
tions,
making
it
possible
to
hear
weakly
received
stations.
“h.blend”
also
reduces
noise
on
stereo
stations
at
the
expense
of
channel
separation
at
high
frequencies.
Pressing
“mono”
initiates
mono
playback
and
further
reduces
noise.
The
“tape
out”
outputs
remain
in
stereo
mode.
For
signals
below
a
certain
quality,
the
tuner
auto-
matically
switches
to
mono
mode.
When
copying
while
listening
to
FM
or
AM
(displayed
at
left)
and
with
tape
monitoring
using
FM
or
AM
as
recording
source
(dis-
played
at
right),
the
frequency
can
be
dis-
played
and
changed
using
“auto.tune”
(MHz
or
kHz
blinks).
When
copying,
this
is
also
possible
using
“pe”
or
“<<”
of
the
remote
control.
Independent
of
other
audio
source
play-
back,
two
connected
tape
decks
can
be
used
for
copying.
To
copy
from
tape!
to
tape2
during
e.g.
radio
playback
with
display

CC4
in
mute
mode
(displayed
setting
changes).
