@ “program >” or “< program” to select

Using the remote control unit, press
@ "fm" to select radio reception and press
the appropriate number button to set the
desired station memory, e.g. “2” (Display:
94.40 P2.
Press buttons
@ "1" to “0” to select stationmemories P1

automatically switch to 14 and then to 24.

Apart from the integrated tuner, other con-
nected audio inputs can be selected using
the corresponding button: “tv” “tape1”
“tape2” “phono” “cd”
Selects audio input from a TV connected to
the amplifier inputs. The tone and volume
controls retain their normal functions. If the
button is held for more than 3 secs, it
functions as enable/disable switch for an
audio-controlled CC4 switch-on via this
input. Display: TVA. Switching on the TV
will then automatically activate audio play-
back via the CC4. The CC4 switches off
automatically after a 5 minute delay if no
audio input is received. In this mode, an
atelier series TV (e.g. TV3) is operated solely
through a remote control unit set to “televi-
sion”.
Selecting these inputs to play pre-recorded .
cassettes retains the previously selected
input (and recording) source as a recording
source. These are shown in the display to
the right of T1 or 12, possibly with the
station memory number, e.g. T1 FM P2.
Using the remote control unit, select tape
inputs by pressing “tape” followed (within
3 secs) by "1" or “2”.
If only one audio source is displayed, this is
the signal which is recorded on a tape deck
connected to the “tape1 out” or “tape2
out” jacks (playback source = record
source). Display: e.g. CD. Playback through
the loudspeakers is source monitoring
(listening to the recording signal).
Where the tape deck has separate recording
and playback heads, press
@ “tape!” or “tape2” to switch to the play-
back amplifier of the recording deck to
select tape monitoring. Display: e.g. T1 CD.
The listening source is shown on the left,
the recording source on the right.

Use
@ “volume+” or “—volume”.
Initial pressing prompts display of setting,
repetition alters the setting by 1 dB steps,
continuous pressing results in continuous
stepping, and continuously strong pressing
activates rapid stepping. Display: VOL 0 to
VOL 80 or V 0 to V 80.
For optimal reproduction at different set-
tings, select loudness compensated volume
by pressing
@ “loudn.” Display loudn.
Initial pressing on these buttons prompts
display of settings, repetition initiates step-
wise adjustment and continuous pressing
results in continuous stepping in the
appropriate direction. Press both buttons of
a control simultaneously to select the center
setting.
On the CC4 pressing
@ “bass+” or “bass—” prompts display of
the setting for 3 secs. During this time, low
frequencies can be boosted or cut by
repeated pressing of
@ “bass+” or “bass~". Display: BASS OFF
to BASS +10 bass or BASS -10 bass.
The same applies to the treble control with
itsbuttons
@ “treble+” and “treble—" with display
TREB — 10 treble through TREB OFF to
TREBL + 10 treble.
Using the remote control unit select the
bass or treble control by pressing
@ “bass” or “treble” and adjust while the
setting is displayed by pressing
@ “balance+” or “balance—".
The balance control operates by attenuating
the appropriate channel, i.e. to give the
effect of moving a sound source to the right
(for example), the control attenuates the
left-hand channel. On the CC4 set the
balance using
@ “balance left” and “balance right”.
On the remote control unit use
@ “balance—” and “balance+”.
Display: BAL———~ (centre) to BALL79
(playback through left channel only) or BAL
R79 (playback through right channel only).
The display BAL R6 (for example) means
that the right-hand channel is amplified 6
dB more than the left-hand channel.
