Note
The CC4 control center (and the other com-
ponents in the atelier system) can be set up
independent from the acoustic properties of
the room and the location of the speakers.
The only important consideration in posi-
tioning is convenience of operation. The
components can be arranged vertically or
horizontally. If a vertical arrangement is
chosen, the following sequence (starting at
the bottom) has been found to be useful:
CD player, cassette deck, control center,
power amplifier, record player.
In addition to the control center, the pack-
ing should contain:
— rear cover
— auxiliary antenna
— 2 cables for remote operation
— operating instructions

— guarantee card.

The controls on the CC4 are momentary
contact buttons. Their function status is
confirmed in the display.
On/off switch with delayed sound switching
to all outputs after volume setting has been
displayed. On switching off, the CC4 goes
to standby status. The display shows a dot.
For remote contro! operation, the remote
contro! unit should be aimed at the sensor.
The sensor opening should not be
obstructed.
Button to switch on and select input for
sound reproduction from a connected TV.
Display: TV.
Rocker bar to select preset stations by toggl-
ing through station memory in direction
shown. Vacant settings are skipped. Dis-
play: P1 to P30.
To select and play FM or medium wave
(AM) stations. The display shows the
frequency or FM or AM, with MHz or kHz as
appropriate.
Buttons for selection and playback from a
cassette deck connected to the appropriate
input. The display shows T1 or T2 on the left
as the playback source (for the output
through the loudspeakers) and on the right
the recording source.
For selection and playback from a record
player or CD unit connected to the approp-
riate input. Display: PH or CD.
Buttons 8 — 21 are arranged on a panel
which rotates out after pressing “push” and
clicks home on closing.
“memo” selects input standby for a setting
to be stored (the memo display blinks).
Repeated activation terminates storage
(memo stops blinking).
“b1€" enables/disables filters ,loudn.”,
20 Hz", , low bass”, ,,bass” and ,,treble”.
Display: EQ OFF and ®1¢, or EQ ON resp.
For enabling/disabling loudness compen-
sated volume setting. Display: loudn.
(as appropriate).
Sequence button for copying from tape 1 to
tape 2 (T1 displayed at right) and from tape
2 to tape 1 (T2 displayed at right) during
playback from another audio source.
Button for improving the signal-to-noise
ratio (in stereo reception) by reducing the
crosstalk attenuation at high frequencies
and deactivating tuning mute for weak fm
stations.
After activating ,,low bass”, set the low
bass boost with , bass+“ or ,,bass—”. Dis-
play: LBASS OFF to LBASS +6 and I. bass.
