Hydraulic Fittings – Torque and
Installation
SAE Flare Connection (J. I. C.)
1. Tighten nut with fi nger until it bottoms the seat.
2. Using a wrench, rotate nut to tighten. Turn nut
1/3 turn to apply proper torque.
SAE Straight Thread O-Ring Seal
1. Insure jam nut and washer are backed up to the
back side of smooth portion of elbow adapter.
2. Lubricate o-ring
3. Thread into port until washer bottoms onto
spot face.
4. Position elbows by backing up adapter.
5. Tighten jam nut.
