Quick Reference Guide For Sewing A Design
Loading a design from a floppy disk (DST file).
1. Turn on computer and start the Brother Embroidery System software, ECSC.
2. Turn on the Brother machine.
3. Insert the floppy design disk into the computer disk drive.
4. Left click on the Explorer icon.

Summary

Loading a DST File

Initiate Software and Machine

Turn on the computer, start ECSC software, and power on the Brother machine.

Access Design File via Explorer

Insert floppy disk, click Explorer icon, and navigate to the 3 1/2 Floppy (A:) drive.

Select and Load Design

Double-click the desired design file to load it into the software.

Configure Import Settings

Confirm create icon, set thread trimming, and adjust pattern position as needed.

Setting Color Sequence

Access Color Sequence Tool

Click the Needle Bar Change icon to open the color sequence window.

Assign Colors to Needle Bars

Drag design colors to specific needle bar numbers on the machine interface.

Exit Color Sequence Mode

Click the Needle Bar Change icon again to close the color sequence window.

Loading Embroidery Hoop and Positioning

Access Hoop Loading Menu

Navigate to Settings > Load Hoop from the software menu.

Select and Verify Hoop Fit

Double-click a hoop file and confirm the design fits within the hoop outline.

Setting Embroidery Speed

Adjust Design Speed Range

Lower the default speed (1000spm) to 800 spm for tubular or 700 spm for caps.

Sending Design to Machine

Initiate Design Transfer

Click the start button to send the design data to the embroidery machine.

Machine Panel Operations

Confirm Hoop and Position

Press the confirmation icon for 'HOOP' and then again to confirm design position.

Start Embroidery

Press the START button to begin the embroidery process.
