3. Place connector plates across each side joint between end rails and side rails, one at each corner. Pilot drill as
indicated below and attach each plate using pan head screws. Be sure each joint is closed before tightening
securely.

NOTE: For best results, use the connector plates as a
template and predrill pilot holes 1/8” x 1/2” deep for
the #10 x 5/8” screws.
4. Screw a threaded stud into each of the eighteen locations. Thread stud in until contact with wood is made; then
turn back 1/4 turn.

5. Carefully turn the rail and apron assembly over. Do not let the rail assembly “twist” or “bow” while turning as the
strain may cause the rail to crack at the ends.
