What happens when you allow a number (caller)
Anynumbersinyourphone’sContactsareautomaticallyallowedtocomestraightthroughtoyouto
answer. To block a contact, see page 20.
• Whenyougetanallowedcall,you’llseethecaller’snumber(ifavailable)withthecalltypebelowitonyour
phonesscreen.
• Ifyoudon’tansweracallfromanallowednumber,itwillgothroughtoyouranswerphone(ifit’son)or
eventually it will hang up if unanswered.
Remember:ifyou’veallowedacontact,allthenumbersyouhaveforacontactwillalsobeallowed.
What happens to my VIP numbers?
These are always allowed to come through to you. If you want BT Call Blocking to look after any of these
numbers,you’llneedtoremovethemfromyourVIPlistandthenadjustyourBTCallBlockingsettingsfor
thatnumber.
What happens when you block a number (caller)
Youcanblockawholenumberorpartofit(e.g.youcanblockbyareacodes).Tounblockorallowablocked
number, see page 24.
A caller calling from a blocked number will hear a message telling them that their call has been blocked.
• You’llseethecaller’snumber(ifavailable)intheCallslistwith
. This means that BT Call Blocking is
blocking the call without you having to do anything.
Remember:ifyou’veblockedacontact,allthenumbersyouhaveforacontactwillalsobeblocked.
Calls that are always allowed
‘Ringback’callsandcallsfromtheoperatorarealwaysallowed,andyoucan’tblocktheseusing
BT Call Blocking.
