Connecting the mains power cable
1. Insert the ‘figure 8’ shaped plug into the mains socket (7) on the rear of the unit.
2. Connect the mains plug to a wall outlet and switch on. (Fig 2)
3. Set the POWER switch (27) to the ‘1’ ON position. The POWER LED (13) will illuminate.
4. Press the STANDBY button on the main unit or remote control to wake from standby.

Extending the handle.
1. Press the button on top of the handle and pull the handle
upwards as shown.
2. Push the handle down as far as it will go to retract.
