Lung sounds can be adjusted by tapping the Sounds button on the Run screen. When the Sounds
panel appears, select Lung Sounds. Select from the following options:
Normal
Stridor
Wheezing
Pneumothorax
Bronchovescular
Crackles
Rhonchi
Tap any one of the Lung Sounds in the drop-down menu to select a Lung sound. Tap and drag the
slider to adjust the volume. By default, Normal breath sounds are heard.
Note: A patient must be running on the Luna simulator for any sounds to be available.
Bowel Sounds
Learners can auscultate bowel sounds over four intestinal regions using the StethoSym: Upper Left,
Upper Right, Lower Left and Lower Right Bowel Sounds
. The sounds can be set to Normal,
Hypoactive, or Hyperactive (bowel sounds are absent).
Bowel sounds can be adjusted by tapping the Sounds button on the Run screen. When the Sounds
panel appears, select Bowel Sounds.
Tap any one of the Bowel Sounds drop-down menus that controls one or both of the intestinal
regions to change the type of sound.
Tap and drag the Bowel Sounds slider to adjust the volume.
Normal bowel sounds are present by default.
Note: An SCE must be running on Luna for any sounds to be available.
