Defining the Detectors
To set up detector definitions to use the software, you must have one MCA configura
-
tion created for each AIM that is connected to an AMP/TCA module. You may have
up to two AIMs. The first AIM will be used to communicate with AMP/TCA modules
1 through 16, and the second AIM is used for modules 17 to 32. To create the MCA
configurations suitable for use with the AMP/TCA software, log into the account that
will be using the AMP/TCA software, then execute the first of the two following lines.
If you will be communicating with modules that are on a second AIM, execute the sec
-
ond line as well.
$ MCA CREATE DET01 NI
xxx
:1/chan=
A
k ! AIM 1
$ MCA CREATE DET02 NI
yyy
:1/chan=
B
k ! AIM 2
Where:
xxx and yyy are the AIM ethernet addresses.
A and B are the number of channels (example: 4, 8).
