If your Canon Scanner experiences paper jams, ensure the roller is correctly installed. If jams occur repeatedly, open the scanner driver settings and select [Extra-thin paper] for [Document type] in the [Feeding] tab. If jams happen after roller replacement or cleaning due to document curling, perform 5 single scans of an A4-sized document.

Why Canon Scanner cannot save multiple pages to one file?
    • R
      Robert MorrisonAug 25, 2025
Depending on the file format, multiple scanned image pages cannot be saved as a single file with CaptureOnTouch. When you select [Scan Batch to File] from the [Scan] menu in CapturePerfect, a dialog box appears with a [Multi Page Settings] pull-down that allows you to select [Single Page]. If you select [Single Page] here, each page of a multi-page document is saved as a separate image file.

How to fix white lines on scanned images from Canon imageFORMULA DR-M260?
    • A
      aaronnguyenAug 26, 2025
If white lines or streaks appear in scanned images from your Canon Scanner, try cleaning both sides of the scanner glass and the rollers. For sticky substances like glue or correction fluid, gently wipe the affected area. If cleaning doesn't resolve the issue, the internal glass might be scratched, and you should contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

How to fix slanted scanned images from Canon Scanner?
    • A
      Amanda FrederickAug 28, 2025
If your Canon Scanner documents feed askew, align the document guides closely to the documents and load them straightly. Open the document feed extension support and place the document. You can also enable [Automatically straightens skewed] in the scanner driver settings. If the problem persists after scanning many pages, clean the rollers; if it continues, roller replacement or maintenance may be needed.

What to do if Canon Scanner is not recognized?
    • P
      pburtonAug 30, 2025
If your Canon Scanner is not being recognized by your computer, first, ensure that the scanner is properly connected with a USB cable and turned on. If it still doesn't work, the computer’s USB interface may not fully support the scanner, or the USB cable may not be compatible, so confirm you are using the supplied USB cable. If connected to USB3.1 Gen1, reconnect to USB2.0 and check. Also, if you're using a USB hub, try connecting the scanner directly to the computer.

Why Canon imageFORMULA DR-M260 is not using driver settings?
    • J
      James WilliamsSep 7, 2025
If your Canon Scanner is not scanning documents according to the settings configured in the scanner driver, when you scan using [Select document] panel registered with CaptureOnTouch, the CaptureOnTouch settings have priority over the scanner driver settings. Edit settings in the [Select document] panel, or create a new [Select document] panel using the desired scanning conditions.
