3) Connect Repurposed Wire to the Thermostat
a. When you’re ready to connect the wires to your new thermostat, connect the
G wire to the C connector block on the thermostat
NOTE: there will no longer be a wire connected to the G terminal at the
thermostat.
4) Guided Setup
a. The thermostat automatically detects the wires you’ve connected
b. You will receive a warning the G wire is not connected. You must disable
Auto Detection by touching the red Override button then touch Yes.
