Also, check the volume and expression settings of the external sound source to ensure they are not set to “0”. Adjust them as needed.

  If no sound comes out when you press a key on your Casio Musical Instrument, first, make sure the VOLUME controller isn't set to “MIN”; if it is, turn it towards “MAX”. Also, check if headphones are plugged in, and if so, unplug them. Finally, ensure that MIDI Local Control is turned on in the settings.
