How to fix HIGH ALARM flashing on CBS S1500?
    • W
      whitedominicAug 17, 2025
If the HIGH ALARM text is flashing and there's an audible alarm on your CBS Storage, it means the liquid level in the vessel is too high. First, push the STOP switch. If it continues to fill, the solenoid valve may be stuck open. Try pushing the FILL and STOP switches 15 to 20 times to unstick it. If that doesn't work, turn off the manual valve on the liquid nitrogen supply tank and let the solenoid valve warm up. Then, reopen the manual valve to see if it works. If not, the solenoid valve might need to be disassembled for service. Alternatively, there may be an obstruction in the solenoid valve. In that case, remove the solenoid valve and disassemble it for service.

Why is the LOW ALARM flashing on my CBS S1500?
    • B
      Brian HickmanAug 20, 2025
If the LOW ALARM text is flashing and there's an audible alarm on your CBS Storage, it could be due to several reasons: * The supply tank is empty: Replace the supply tank. * The supply tank is shut off: Open the manual valve on the supply tank. * The supply tank pressure is too low: Check the pressure in the supply tank. It should be between 18 and 22 p.s.i. * Three or more storage units are filling at the same time from a single supply line: The storage vessels will fill slowly, and the alarm should correct itself.

If the SOURCE ALARM text is flashing and there's an audible alarm on your CBS Storage, it could mean that: * The supply tank is empty: Replace the supply tank. * The supply tank is shut off: Open the manual valve on the supply tank if it's closed. * The supply tank pressure is too low: Check the pressure; it should be between 18 and 22 p.s.i. * Three or more storage units are filling at one time from a single supply line: The storage vessels will fill very slowly, and the alarm will correct itself.

      Jessica JenkinsAug 26, 2025
If any ALARM text is flashing on your CBS Storage, but there is no audible alarm, it means the alarm MUTE is activated. To fix this, correct the alarm condition and then push the SOUND switch. This will activate the audible alarm for the next alarm occurrence.

How do I resolve a TEMPERATURE ALARM on CBS S1500?
    • C
      curtischristopherAug 28, 2025
If the TEMPERATURE ALARM text is flashing and there is an audible alarm on your CBS Storage, this could be because the temperature has risen above the setpoint, possibly because the lid has been open too long. Alternatively, it could be due to a low liquid nitrogen level, in which case you should move the probe to its original location.

What does it mean when LOW ALARM flashes and the level display reads '00.0 CM' on CBS Storage?
    • B
      brian31Aug 31, 2025
If the LOW ALARM text is flashing, the audible alarm is present, and the Level Display reads '00.0 CM' on your CBS Storage, it could mean that the LN2 level in the vessel has fallen below the pressure sensing port. In this case, an automatic fill will begin, and the alarm will stop when the liquid level rises above the LOW level setpoint and the pressure port. Another possibility is that the pressure sensing hose is loose or disconnected. Check the pressure hose connections at both ends, ensuring a white clamp is in place at each end of the hose. If the hose seems loose, disconnect it, remove an inch off the end, and reconnect it.

What causes the FILL VALVE alarm on my CBS Storage?
    • G
      Gerald SmithSep 2, 2025
If the FILL VALVE text is flashing and there's an audible alarm on your CBS Storage, it could be because the fill valve is disconnected from the power source. Ensure the fill valve power cord is correctly connected. If the fill valve is correctly connected, the fill valve may be defective and need to be replaced.

Why are there no lights on my CBS S1500 Storage unit?
    • J
      Jason GriffinSep 12, 2025
If there are no lights on your CBS Storage, it could be due to several reasons: * Blown fuse: Replace it with a one amp fuse. * No power at the wall outlet: Use a live power source. * AC power cord not plugged in: Plug the AC power cord into a wall socket. * ON/OFF switch in the OFF position: Move the power keyswitch to the ON position.
