MAINTENANCE
Drying the air lter housing after submersion
If water has been ingested into the air lter housing, Drain the air lter housing, remove the air lter, and
thoroughly dry the components. Do not use compressed air on the paper air filter. Contact your dealer if
vehicle performance issues exist.
CAUTION
Do not operate the engine without an air lter element. Unltered air entering into the engine can cause
engine wear and damage. Driving without an air lter will also decrease performance and can lead to engine
overheating.
CAUTION
Major engine damage can be resulted for the vehicle if water has been ingested into the air lter housing,
and engine. Have the vehicle serviced by your dealer promptly if your vehicle becomes immersed or stalls
in water that exceeds the footrest level. It is important to contact your dealer for service before starting the
engine, as water may have been ingested in the air box and engine.
