COMBUSTION SECTION
(ALL) :
Inspection of the SAC dome area.
The following areas of the combustion chamber also
need to be inspected:
- Fuel nozzle tips.
- Fuel nozzle stems outside the combustor dome.
- Sleeves with 2 concentric swirlers.
- Deectors.
- Inner cowl.
- Outer cowl.
- Damper wire.
- Spectacle, or dome plate.
- Dome area, which includes all of the above
components.
A thermal barrier coating is applied to the deectors and
the spectacle plate.
