Function Description:

The Chamberlain Wi-Fi® LED Garage Door Opener is a smart device that allows users to open and close their garage door, receive alerts, and set schedules from anywhere using the myQ® App. It is compatible with myQ® and Security+ 2.0® accessories. The opener features electronic controls for easy setup and adjustments, automatically sensing the force required to open and close the door. It includes a battery backup system (on models B6713T, B6753T, and B6755T) to provide access during power outages. Some models also integrate a camera for enhanced monitoring.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Models: B4603T, B4643T, B4613T, B6713T, B4655T, B6753T, B6755T.
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi® enabled (2.4 GHz, 802.11b/g/n required), compatible with myQ® and Security+ 2.0® accessories.
  • Safety Features:
    • Protector System® (Safety Reversing Sensors): Required for operation; the door will not close if sensors are obstructed or misaligned. Beam must be no higher than 6" (15 cm) above the garage floor.
    • Safety Reversal System: Door MUST reverse on contact with a 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) high object (or a 2x4 laid flat) on the floor.
  • Power: Requires a grounded outlet. Permanent wiring option available.
  • Battery Backup (Models B6713T, B6753T, B6755T): Provides up to 24 hours of operation during a power outage. In battery backup mode, the opener runs slower, and features like Timer-to-Close and remote close (myQ® App) are disabled. The Automatic Garage Door Lock will unlock when the door is opened and remain disabled until power is restored.
  • Camera (Models B4655T, B6713T, B6753T, B6755T): Powers up when opened, powers down when closed. Camera functions are not available when the opener is operating on battery power.
  • Remote Control Battery: Uses 3V CR2032 coin batteries.

Usage Features:

  • myQ® App Integration: Allows remote operation, alerts, and scheduling. Connected openers receive software updates.
  • BILT App: Provides easy step-by-step interactive 3D instructions for product assembly.
  • Remote Control: Pre-programmed remote control included. Additional remotes can be programmed using the LEARN button on the opener or the door control panel.
  • Wireless Keyless Entry: Instructions provided separately or available for download.
  • HomeLink® Compatibility: May require a Compatibility Bridge™ for certain vehicles; users are advised to check bridge.chamberlain.com.
  • Manual Operation: The door can be opened manually by pulling down on the emergency release handle. A lockout feature allows the door to be raised and lowered manually as often as necessary.
  • Programming Travel Limits: Electronic controls allow easy programming of the door's open (UP) and close (DOWN) positions. The UP and DOWN buttons can be used to move the door during programming.
  • Automatic Force Set Up: After manual travel limits are set, the opener automatically senses the force required to operate the door.
  • Door Controls: Multi-Function and Motion-Detecting Control Panels include Push Bar, Service LED, LEARN Button, LOCK Button, Command LED, Light Button, and Motion Sensor (on Motion-Detecting panel).
  • Unattended Operation: Features like Timer-to-Close (TTC) and myQ® App are to be used ONLY with sectional doors.

Maintenance Features:

  • Monthly Maintenance:
    • Manually operate the door to check for balance or binding; call a technician if issues are found.
    • Check that the door opens and closes fully; adjust if necessary.
    • Test the safety reversal system.
  • Annual Maintenance:
    • Oil door rollers, bearings, and hinges. The opener itself does not require additional lubrication.
    • Test the battery backup (if applicable) and consider replacement to ensure operation during power outages.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides basic troubleshooting tips for common issues such as the door not closing, HomeLink® programming, opener beeping, remote control not activating the door, wall-mounted door control not functioning, opener humming with no movement, and Wi-Fi® connectivity problems.
  • Safety & Maintenance Guide: Emphasizes the importance of proper installation, operation, and maintenance to prevent serious injury or death, especially concerning children. It advises keeping remote controls out of reach of children and mounting wall-mounted push buttons at least 5 feet from the nearest standing surface and away from moving parts.
  • Routine Maintenance: Recommends monthly inspection and testing of the garage door and opener system. This includes visually checking the door and installation for wear or damage, testing for proper door operation (free movement, balance), and testing opener safety features (safety reversal system, photoelectric sensors). Springs are under high tension and should only be adjusted by qualified individuals.
