Why is the flame so low on my Char-Broil Gas grill?
    • C
      Christopher AllisonJul 27, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame in your Char-Broil Gas grill can happen if you're out of gas, so check the LP cylinder. It could also be that the excess flow valve tripped; in this case, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. Finally, a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection could be the cause. Turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

What to do if flames blow out on my Char-Broil Gas grill?
    • C
      Corey ChapmanJul 31, 2025
If the flames on your Char-Broil Gas grill are blowing out, it could be due to high or gusting winds; turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height by turning the gas valve to a higher position. Another reason might be that you are low on LP gas, so refill the LP cylinder. It's also possible the excess flow valve tripped; refer to the 'Sudden drop in gas flow' solution for how to resolve it.

Why does my Char-Broil Gas grill flare up?
    • K
      Kenneth HerreraAug 4, 2025
Flare-ups on your Char-Broil Gas grill can occur due to grease buildup. Clean the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox to resolve this. Another cause can be excessive fat in the meat; trim the fat before grilling. Also, excessive cooking temperature can cause flare-ups, so adjust the temperature accordingly by lowering it.

Why are the sparks weak on my Char-Broil Gas grill?
    • N
      nicholas66Aug 9, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes or not at full strength on your Char-Broil Gas grill, check the output lead connections; remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes. Also, look for arcing to the grill away from the burner(s) by observing the grill in a dark location while operating the ignition system. A weak battery can also cause this issue, so replace it with a new alkaline battery. Wet electrodes can prevent proper sparking; use a paper towel to remove moisture. Finally, cracked or broken electrodes can cause sparks at the crack, so replace any damaged electrodes.

      gutierrezjacquelineAug 18, 2025

Why no sparks with electronic ignition noise on Char-Broil Gas grill?
    • E
      Erin FarrellAug 21, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes, but noise can be heard when the electronic ignition button is pressed on your Char-Broil Gas grill, the output lead connections may not be connected. Remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes.
