    • L
      Laura WilliamsAug 15, 2025
If one burner does not light from the other burners on your Char-Broil gas grill, it's likely due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). Clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush to resolve this issue.

What to do if no sparks appear at any electrodes and no noise can be heard from spark module on my Char-Broil 463439915 Gas grill?

      Melanie BushAug 18, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes and no noise can be heard from the spark module when you press the Electronic Ignition Button on your Char-Broil gas grill, there are a few potential causes. First, ensure the battery is installed properly, making sure that the '+' and '–' connectors are oriented correctly, with '+' on the cap end. If the battery is dead, replace it with a new alkaline battery. Another possibility is that the button assembly is not installed properly; unscrew the button cap assembly and reinstall it, ensuring the threads are aligned and engaged fully. Finally, the spark module itself may be faulty, in which case you should replace the spark module assembly.

If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the Electronic Ignition Button is pressed, but noise can be heard from the spark module on your Char-Broil gas grill, it is likely that the output lead connections are not connected. Remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes.

What to do if my Char-Broil 463439915 Gas grill has a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame?
    • A
      Allison MartinAug 26, 2025
If you experience a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame with your Char-Broil gas grill, there are several possible causes. First, check if the LP cylinder is out of gas. Another cause may be that the excess flow valve tripped: try turning off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. Finally, vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection can also cause this issue. Turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

Why do flames blow out on my Char-Broil gas grill?
    • E
      Eric YoungAug 28, 2025
Flames blowing out on your Char-Broil gas grill can be due to several reasons. High or gusting winds may be the cause; turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height by turning the gas valve to a higher position. Also, check if you are low on LP gas and refill the LP cylinder if needed. Finally, the excess flow valve may have tripped; refer to the 'Sudden drop in gas flow' section for instructions.

How to stop flare-ups on my Char-Broil 463439915 Gas grill?
    • E
      Evan WalkerSep 1, 2025
Flare-ups on your Char-Broil gas grill can be caused by grease buildup. Clean the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox. Excessive fat in the meat can also be the reason, so trim fat from meat before grilling. Lastly, excessive cooking temperature may cause flare-ups, so adjust (lower) the temperature accordingly.

What to do if I have a persistent grease fire in my Char-Broil 463439915?
    • J
      joannreidSep 4, 2025
If you have a persistent grease fire in your Char-Broil gas grill, it could be due to grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. Turn the knobs to OFF, turn the gas off at the LP cylinder, leave the lid in position, and let the fire burn out. After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts.

Why are sparks present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on my Char-Broil gas grill?
    • C
      Charles WoodSep 12, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on your Char-Broil gas grill, check the following: 1. Ensure that all output lead connections are securely connected at the module and electrodes. 2. Look for arcing to the grill away from the burner(s) by observing the grill in a dark location and operating the ignition system. 3. Replace the battery with a new alkaline battery if the current one is weak. 4. Use a paper towel to remove any moisture from the electrodes. 5. Replace any cracked or broken electrodes.
