Why do the flames keep blowing out on my Char-Broil 463271310?
    • T
      Tyrone Woods DDSAug 18, 2025
If flames are blowing out on your Char-Broil gas grill, it could be due to high or gusting winds. Turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. Another reason could be that you are low on LP gas, so refill the LP cylinder. Also, refer to the troubleshooting steps for a sudden drop in gas flow.

What to do if no sparks appear when pressing the ignition button on my Char-Broil 463271310?
    • A
      Andrea PayneAug 20, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the Electronic Ignition Button is pressed on your Char-Broil gas grill, and no noise can be heard from the spark module, ensure the battery is installed correctly, making sure that “+” and “–” connectors are oriented correctly, with “+” end up and “–” end down. If the battery is dead, replace it with a new AA-size alkaline battery. Also, check that the button assembly is installed properly by unscrewing the button cap assembly and reinstalling it, making sure the threads are aligned and engaged fully. If none of these steps work, the spark module may be faulty and need replacement.

Why does my Char-Broil 463271310 Gas grill flare up?
    • M
      matthewhutchinsonAug 22, 2025
Flare-ups on your Char-Broil gas grill are often due to grease buildup. Make sure to clean the burners and the inside of the grill or firebox. Also, excessive fat in the meat can cause flare-ups, so trim the fat before grilling. Finally, lower the cooking temperature, as excessive heat can also contribute to this issue.

What to do if Char-Broil 463271310 Gas grill has sudden drop in gas flow?
    • M
      Michelle SinghAug 26, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or a low flame on your Char-Broil gas grill could mean that you are out of gas. Check the LP cylinder to ensure it has gas. If not, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and try lighting the grill again. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and the LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. Alternatively, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

What to do if I have a persistent grease fire in my Char-Broil 463271310 Gas grill?
    • W
      Willie SmithAug 27, 2025
If you experience a persistent grease fire in your Char-Broil gas grill, it's likely due to grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. Turn the knobs to the OFF position and turn off the gas at the LP cylinder. Leave the lid in position and allow the fire to burn out. Once the grill has cooled, remove and clean all the parts.

How to stop flashback in Char-Broil Gas grill?
    • A
      Andre HuangAug 30, 2025
If you're experiencing flashback (fire in the burner tubes) in your Char-Broil gas grill, it's likely that the burner and/or burner tubes are blocked. Turn the knobs to the OFF position and clean the burner and/or burner tubes. Refer to the burner cleaning section of the Use and Care guide for detailed instructions.

Why won't one burner light from the others on my Char-Broil Gas grill?
    • J
      john30Sep 2, 2025
If one burner on your Char-Broil gas grill does not light from the other burners, it could be due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). Clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush.

What if I hear noise but see no sparks when pressing the ignition button on my Char-Broil 463271310?
    • L
      lisaevansSep 4, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the Electronic Ignition Button is pressed on your Char-Broil gas grill, but noise can be heard from spark module, remove and reconnect all output connections at module and electrodes.

    Timothy OnealSep 6, 2025
What to do if sparks are weak on my Char-Broil 463271310?
    • E
      Emily GibbsSep 6, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on your Char-Broil gas grill, remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes. If possible, observe the grill in a dark location and operate the ignition system to look for arcing between output wires and the grill frame. Replace the battery with a new AA-size alkaline battery if it is weak. Use a paper towel to remove moisture if the electrodes are wet. Replace cracked or broken electrodes if they are sparking at the crack.

    Why can't I fill my Char-Broil 463271310 LP cylinder?
    • C
      cindywilliamsSep 9, 2025
If you are unable to fill your LP cylinder, it might be because some dealers have older fill nozzles with worn threads. These worn nozzles might not have enough "bite" to engage the valve. Try a second LP dealer.
