Why is there no spark on my Char-Broil Gas grill when I press the ignition button?
    • C
      Charles AdamsAug 15, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes and no noise can be heard from the spark module on your Char-Broil Gas grill, it could be due to several reasons: 1. The battery might not be installed properly; check its orientation. 2. The battery may be dead; replace it with a new alkaline battery. 3. The button assembly might not be installed properly; unscrew and reinstall it, ensuring the threads are aligned and fully engaged. 4. The spark module might be faulty; replace the spark module assembly.

    • S
      Shawn Barber DDSAug 18, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes or not at full strength on your Char-Broil Gas grill, it could be due to several reasons: * Output lead connections might not be connected; remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes. * Arcing might be occurring to the grill away from the burners; observe the grill in a dark location and look for arcing between output wires and the grill frame. * The battery might be weak; replace it with a new alkaline battery. * The electrodes might be wet; use a paper towel to remove moisture. * The electrodes might be cracked or broken; replace them.

Why won't one burner light from the others on my Char-Broil Gas grill?
    • K
      Kayla HahnAug 21, 2025
If one burner does not light from the other burners on your Char-Broil Gas grill, it is likely due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). Clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush.

Why does my Char-Broil Gas grill flare up?
    • C
      carolinewilliamsAug 26, 2025
Flare-ups on your Char-Broil Gas grill are often caused by grease buildup, excessive fat in the meat, or excessive cooking temperatures. To resolve this, clean the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox. Trim fat from meat before grilling. You may also need to adjust the cooking temperature to a lower setting.

What to do if my Char-Broil Gas grill has a sudden drop in gas flow?
    • J
      Joshua MillerAug 28, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame in your Char-Broil Gas grill can occur if you are out of gas, the excess flow valve has tripped, or there's a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection. * First, check if there is gas in the LP cylinder. * If the excess flow valve tripped, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. * For a vapor lock, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

Why do the flames keep blowing out on my Char-Broil Gas grill?
    • D
      Danielle WilsonSep 1, 2025
If the flames on your Char-Broil Gas grill blow out, it could be due to high or gusting winds or low LP gas. Refill the LP cylinder. If it's windy, turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height by turning the gas valve to a higher position. It can also happen if the excess flow valve tripped. In that case, refer to 'Sudden drop in gas flow' solutions.

What to do if my Char-Broil Gas grill has a persistent grease fire?
    • A
      Annette CarterSep 4, 2025
A persistent grease fire in your Char-Broil Gas grill is likely due to grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. To resolve this, turn the knobs to OFF and turn the gas off at the LP cylinder. Leave the lid in position and let the fire burn out. After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts.

    • D
      David BraySep 7, 2025
A flashback (fire in the burner tubes) in your Char-Broil Gas grill indicates that the burner and/or burner tubes are blocked. To resolve this, turn the knobs to OFF and clean the burner and/or burner tubes. Refer to the burner cleaning section of the Use and Care guide for detailed instructions.

What to do if my Char-Broil Gas grill has no sparks but I hear noise from the module?
    • M
      Michael StewartSep 12, 2025
