How to stop flare ups on Char-Broil 463234711?
    • A
      Ann ColonAug 18, 2025
Flare-ups on your Char-Broil Grill are often due to grease buildup. To resolve this, clean the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox. Also, excessive fat in the meat can cause flare-ups, so trim the fat before grilling. Finally, adjust the temperature if it's too high.

Why is there a sudden drop in gas flow on my Char-Broil 463234711?
    • A
      anthony33Aug 20, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame on your Char-Broil Grill can happen if you're out of gas. Check the LP cylinder to make sure you have enough gas. It can also happen if the excess flow valve has tripped. To fix this, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and the LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, and perform a leak test. Then, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. Another cause can be a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection. In this case, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

What to do if flames blow out on Char-Broil 463234711 Grill?
    • M
      martinkellyAug 23, 2025
If flames are blowing out on your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to high or gusting winds. Turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. Another reason could be that you're low on LP gas, so refill the LP cylinder. It is also possible that the excess flow valve tripped: refer to “Sudden drop in gas flow” to resolve this issue.

Why no sparks appear at electrodes when Electronic Ignition Button is pressed on Char-Broil 463234711?
    • J
      Jay BellAug 26, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the Electronic Ignition Button is pressed on your Char-Broil Grill, and no noise can be heard from the spark module, it could be due to several reasons: * The battery might not be installed properly. Install the battery, ensuring that the “+” and “–” connectors are oriented correctly, with the “+” end up and the “–” end down. * The battery might be dead. Replace the battery with a new AA-size alkaline battery. * The button assembly might not be installed properly. Unscrew the button cap assembly and reinstall, making sure the threads are aligned and engaged fully. * The spark module might be faulty. Replace the spark module assembly.

How to handle a persistent grease fire in Char-Broil 463234711 Grill?
    • B
      brollinsSep 2, 2025
If you're experiencing a persistent grease fire on your Char-Broil Grill, it's likely due to grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. Turn the knobs to the OFF position and turn off the gas at the LP cylinder. Leave the lid in position and let the fire burn out. After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts.

Why sparks are present but not at all electrodes on Char-Broil 463234711 Grill?
    • A
      alyssagonzalezSep 7, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to several reasons: * Output lead connections not connected: Remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes. * Arcing to grill away from burner(s): If sparks are observed other than from burner(s), wire insulation may be damaged. Replace wires. * Weak battery: Replace the battery with a new AA-size alkaline battery. * Electrodes are wet: Use a paper towel to remove moisture. * Electrodes cracked or broken “sparks at crack”: Replace cracked or broken electrodes.
