Ignition switch positions
0 (LOCK) = Ignition off
1 (ACC) = Ignition off, steering
wheel lock released
2 (ON) = Ignition on
3 (START) = Starting

Do not turn the key to 0 or 1
position while driving.
Vehicle and brake assistance
would not operate, causing vehicle
damage, personal injury or
possibly death.
Caution
Do not leave the key in 1 or 2
position for extended periods
while the engine is not running.
This will discharge the battery.
Starting the engine
Starting engine with the ignition
switch
■
Turn the key to position 1, move the
steering wheel slightly to release
the steering wheel lock
■ Manual transmission: operate
clutch
■ Automatic transmission : Move
selector lever to P or N.
