Step 1: To create a dedicated hot spare, log in to Cisco IMC and select the Storage tab and then the Physical
Drive Info tab.
Step 2: Select the unconfigured drive, and in the Actions area select Make Dedicated Hot Spare.
Step 3: After you select the Make Dedicated Hot Spare option, a window pops up showing the options for selecting
the virtual drive to which you want to add this dedicated hot spare. Select the virtual drive.
