With the new one piece table, the cutterbar is
able to extend from its shortest point to longest
point in one movement without having to fit
extension plates.
However, when the side knife is fitted the
combine knows this via a sensor (1) and restricts
the movement from its maximum of 600mm to
450mm. This reduces the risk of the reel coming
into contact with the side knife.
