2.Disassembly
Processor Installation Procedure
1. Insert the CPU ; pay careful attention to the pin alignment (Figure 8a), it will fit only one way (DO NOT FORCE
IT!).
2. Move the bracket and latch fully in the direction indicated to lock the CPU.
3. Apply the thermal grease to the top of the CPU as shown (Figure 8b).
4. Insert the heat sink unit
as indicated in Figure 8c.
5. Tighten the CPU heat sink screws in the order -
(the order as indicated on the label and Figure 8d).
6. Replace the CPU fan, component bay cover and tighten the screws (page 2 - 10).
