Removing the Keyboard
1. Turn off the computer, and turn it over and remove the battery (page 2 - 5), and component bay cover (page 2 -
10).
2. Use a screwdriver to carefully push out the speakers cover
at point .
3. Turn the computer over, unsnap the speaker cover upwards from the center of the computer (Figure 10b).
4. Remove screws - from the keyboard (Figure 10c).
5. Carefully lift the keyboard
up, being careful not to bend the keyboard ribbon cable . Disconnect the key-
board ribbon cable from the locking collar socket by using a flat-head screwdriver to pry the locking collar
pins away from the base (Figure 10d).
6. Carefully lift up the keyboard (Figure 10e) off the computer.
