3.8 Silencing sounders
Pressing the Silence Alarms switch silences all audible, visible,
and common alarm outputs except in the following instances:
When a sprinkler switch is active and the system is not
programmed to allow silencing when a sprinkler switch is
active
When the system is programmed to delay the silencing of
fire alarm signals, in which case the Silence Alarms switch
may not be operational for up to five minutes after the initial
fire alarm event
Silenced outputs automatically re-sound when:
The Silence Alarms switch is pressed a second time
Another zone is activated
A subsequent point in the same zone is activated and the
system is programmed allow zone resounding.
Note: Visible outputs, if used, can be programmed to disregard
the Silence Alarms switch.
To silence sounders:
1. Press Silence Alarms.
2. Enter the level 2 password.
