Reduce the load to the hoist's capacity limit. * Extreme external heat, especially above 40°C (104°F), requires limiting the frequency of hoist operation or improving ventilation and shielding. * Frequent starting or reversing can overheat the motor.       If the hook on your CM Chain Hoists moves in the wrong direction, here are a few things to check: * For single-phase units, wiring connections may be reversed at the control station or terminal board. Compare the connections to the wiring diagram. * Also for single-phase units, the motor reversing switch might fail to effect dynamic braking at the time of reversal.
