Unpacking the device and checking for complete-

Assembling the chassis

Insert the axle(3) into the frame(2).
Push the wheel(10) onto the axle.
Push washer on(A) axle.
Press safety pin(B) through bore to fix the
wheel.
Place the wheel cap on the wheel.
Repeat the procedure for the other wheel.
Insert frame
► P. 4, item 3
Insert frame(2) in openings on the chipper hous-
ing.
Fix frame(2) using screws and washers(A).
Start-up
Operation
Check before starting!
Check the safe condition of the device:
Check whether there are any visible defects.
Check whether all parts of the product are firmly
attached.
Check that the safety devices are in faultless
condition.
Check whether the hopper is empty.
Keep your face and body far away from the filling
opening.
Make sure that your hands, other body parts and
clothing do not get near the filling opening, the
ejection opening or other moving parts.
When feeding material into the filling opening,
never stand on a higher surface than the chipper.
Chipping
Starting the device
► P. 4, item 4
Connect connecting cable to an appropriate
mains supply.
Turn On-/Off switch(6) right.
The device starts up.
Before feeding material in, wait until the chipper
has reached its working speed.
Stop device
Turn On-/Off switch(6) left.
The device is stopped.
If the motor protection was triggered
► P. 4, item 5
Disconnect the mains plug.
Unscrew the housing closure screw(8) and fold
open the housing.
Clean the cutting and ejection area. Remove
twigs or objects which could block the blades.
Fold the housing closed and tighten the housing
closure screw(8).
Press the reset switch(7) and then the on/off
switch(6).
Notes about chipping
Organic garden waste can be chipped as biolog-
ical fertilizer for the garden. Feed material which
breaks down naturally such as leaves, small
branches, and grass in appropriate quantities
into the hopper(5) so that it does not get
stopped up.
The chipped material can be collected in a con-
tainer below the ejection opening(9).
Note: If a part is missing or damaged,
please contact the vendor.
NOTICE! Risk of injury! Place the product
horizontally on a stable, sufficiently load-
bearing and level surface.
NOTICE! Risk of injury! The product must
only be put into operation if no defects or
errors are found. Ensure that any defective
parts are replaced before the product is
used again.
Note: An overload caused by a blocked
blade or cutting material which is too thick
causes the device to come to a standstill
after a few seconds. To protect the motor
against damage, the motor protection
switch switches the current off automati-
cally.
NOTICE! Risk of injury! Always pull out
the mains plug (disconnect the product
from its power supply) before commencing
work on the product.
Note: The device has a safety function.
This prevents the
device to run again after unintended power
supply interruption.
DANGER! Danger of death! •De-ener-
gise the device
When the housing is open, always wear
safety gloves.
Note: The chipper is equipped with a safety
switch on the closure between the housing
and motor housing.
Note: Work with chippers must not be per-
formed during usual quiet hours.
