3. Release thecatch and then pull on thepipe to make
sure that thecatch has located in thehole and
fastened thepipe inplace.
4. Make sure that thelower frame pipe with thetrimmer
head is at thecorrect angle to theupper frame pipe
with thehandle and engine. Pushthelocking plate
down and tighten thelocking knob (see fig.).
5. To detach thelower frame pipe, undo thelocking knob,
press in therelease catch and pull thepipe out of
theclamp.

3. Lock thedrive shaft by poking thelarger of
thetwo included Allen keys through all three
holes in thecover, housing and theinner
supportwasher.
4. Thread thetrimmer head onto thedrive shaft
and screw it finger-tight (see fig.).
Note: Thetrimmer head has aleft-handed
thread, so you have to tighten it by turning it
the“wrong way”.
5. Remove theAllenkey.
