3. Release thecatch and then pull on thepipe to make
sure that thecatch has located in thehole and
fastened thepipe inplace.
4. Make sure that thelower frame pipe with thetrimmer
head is at thecorrect angle to theupper frame pipe
with thehandle and engine. Pushthelocking plate
down and tighten thelocking knob (see fig.).
5. To detach thelower frame pipe, undo thelocking knob,
press in therelease catch and pull thepipe out of
theclamp.

lines up with the hole in the housing.

3. Lock thedrive shaft by poking thelarger of
thetwo included Allen keys through all three
holes in thecover, housing and theinner
supportwasher.
4. Thread thetrimmer head onto thedrive shaft
and screw it finger-tight (see fig.).
Note: Thetrimmer head has aleft-handed
thread, so you have to tighten it by turning it
the“wrong way”.
5. Remove theAllenkey.
