Operating instructions
Before starting:
Note: Checktheengine oil level before starting theengine, refer to theCare, maintenance and storage - Engine
oil, refilling and changing section below.
Refuelling
Note:
• Always refuel thetrimmer outdoors.
• Petrol is highly flammable.
• Never smoke whilst refuelling thetrimmer or handling thefuel.
• Keep thefuel well away from flames and sparks at alltimes.
• Make sure that thetrimmer has been switched off and has cooled down before it is refuelled.
• Use only 95/98 octane petrol.
1. Lay thetrimmer down in asuitable place for refuelling.
2. Remove thefuel cap and fill thetank with petrol.
3. Screw thefuel cap back on and wipe up any spills immediately.
4. Move thetrimmer at least 3 metres away from therefuelling site before starting it.
3. Fit theouter support washer, face theconcave
side of thewasher down, against theblade.
5. Lock thedrive shaft by poking thelarger of
thetwo included Allen keys through theholes
in thehousing and theinner support washer.
Screwthenut onto thedrive shaft and tighten
itwell.
4. Fit thecover washer onto thedriveshaft.
