When level planing, theextraction hood (E) must be mounted as it acts as acover!
1. Lower thetable (J) as far as itcan.
2. Loosen thearm (F) holding thecutter cover (K) and unfold it.
3. Pull both locking levers (H) on theextraction hood.
4. Push in theextraction hood under thelevelling table so that
thelocking levers (H) fit thevents in thelevelling table (G); push in
thelocking levers (H).
6.3 Setting cutter cover
1. Loosen thelocking wheel holding thearm (F) and lift to thecorrect
height (the material’s thickness); tighten thelocking wheel.
2. Press thecover against thematerial so that it covers thecutter’s
free parts, or place above thematerial if it iswide.
3. Tighten thecover’s locking wheel.
6.4 Level planing
1. Mounting theextraction hood.
2. Set thedesired cutting depth with thewheel (L); settings of thefeeding table (N) are shown on theshell (M)
(clockwise = decrease, counter-clockwise = increase).
3. Cutting depth of 0.5–1.5 mm provides thebest surface. Warning! Position thecutter cover so that it covers
thecutter’s freeparts.
4. Press theboard against thefeeding table and position thecutter cover at thesame height as theleft hand
(the board should easily go through thegap). Startthemotor and let it rev up then slowly and carefully feed
theboard through over thecutter. Allowhands to move over thecutter cover.
6.5 Surface planing
1. Mount theextraction hood (E) above thelevelling table.
2. Set desired dimension for thematerial with thecrank (O)
(1 turn = 3 mm), feed thematerial’s thickness and set
theplaning thickness 1–2 mm less and make thefirst
planecut.
3. Start themotor and let it rev up then slowly and carefully
feed onto theplaning table with thelevel planing side facing
downwards.
4. Slowly push theboard inwards until thefeeding roller grips
theboard. Iftheboard is wedge-shaped put thethicker end
in first.
Warning! Neverplane short material, feed in narrow materials in
themiddle of thewidth of thecutter. Makesure thecable moves
freely and does not get tangled in thecutter.
