TROUBLESHOOT
PROBLEM RESOLUTION
You want to
confirm your
processor is
receiving sound
1. Check the light on the top of the
processor (if enabled). See Lights on
page 48.
2. If you have a monitor earphone adaptor, a
hearing person can listen to the sound
received by the processor. See Use monitor
earphones on page 26.
3. If you use the Nucleus Smart App, use the
Status screen to check the processor is
receiving sound
4. If the problem continues, contact your
clinician.
The processor or
coil become hot
1. Remove the processor and coil from your
head immediately, disconnect the battery
module and contact your clinician.
You experience
tightness,
discomfort or
develop a skin
irritation at your
implant site
1. Your coil magnet may be too strong or in
contact with your skin. Change to a
weaker magnet. See Change the coil
magnet on page 47.
2. If you are using a retention aid, such as a
headband, this may be placing pressure on
your processor. Adjust your retention aid,
or try a different aid.
3. If the problem continues, contact your
clinician.
