tailpipe and inside of the tailpipe housing.
1. Tailpipe 2. Spark arrester
4. Insert the tailpipe into the muffler and
align the bolt holes.
5. Install the tailpipe by installing the bolts,
and then tighten the bolts to the specified
torque.
Tailpipe bolt:
8.5 ft·lbs (12 Nm, 1.2 m·kgf)
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Improper cleaning of the spark arrester .
Hot exhaust system .
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Could injure the eyes.
Could cause burns.
Could cause carbon monoxide
pois oning, possibly leading to death.
Could start a re.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
When cleaning the spark arrester:
Always let the exhaust system cool prior
to touching exhaust components.
