5.4 - Grain elevator assembly
Elevator (8) is not disassembled for Combine transport, but
it is folded according to side gure.
Put the elevator in work position according to the following:
a) Tie the ends of the chain (9) with wire or rope, preven-
ting the mugs (10) from displacing inside the elevator.
b) Fully unfold the elevator (8).
c) Install the screws + nuts (11) to fasten the upper part
of the elevator (8), according to the gures below.
d) Remove the bottom inspection cover (12).
e) Remove the wire or rope and splice the chain (9).
NOTE:
See in page 32 some information about the cor-
rect chain splicing.
f) Adjust the chains play (9) using the side stretchers
(13), according to instructions in page 34.
NOTE:
Upper bearings (14) should be aligned.
