5.5 - Pickup unit assembly
In case the pickup unit (15) comes disassembled from the
machine, assemble it according to instructions as follows.
Note:
Perform this procedure on a at and rm ground.
a) Couple the Combine to the tractor according to instruc-
tions in page 15 and scotch the wheels with wooden
wedges.
b) Safely hang the pickup unit (15) (with a tractor equi-
pped with “boom” and a cork belt, for instance) and
position it under the header (16), in a such way that
it stays aligned in relation to the Gatherer.
c) Fasten the pickup unit (15) to the Combine side stand
points (17), using four screws (18) + washers + nuts
on each side.
d) Fasten the terminal with the oblong seat of the raise
cylinder (19) to the pickup unit stand point (15), using
the pin + washer + screw kit (20).
5.6 - Cardan length adjustment
About the adjustment, refer to the cardan shaft manual
instructions.
