HAND GUARD AND CHAIN BRAKE

The chain brake ensures a safety use of the electric saw. The chain brake triggers
when the operator’s hand accidentally presses on the hand guard A (see Fig. 11-2).
Once the brake is triggered, the chain immediately stops and disconnects the motor.
To restart the electric saw operation, push the red lever (A) of the brake down (see
Fig.11-3 e 4).
Check the efficiency of the chain brake
Have the thickness of the brake band and the sprocket checked frequently. The
electric saws equipped with chain brake do not work when the brake lever is
engaged.
