What to do if my Comet Pressure Washer stops and the pilot light is off?

  If the Comet Pressure Washer cleaner stops during operation and the pilot light (8) (or the display (7) for KE Xtra) is not turned on, it could be that a safety device of the system to which the water cleaner is connected has triggered (fuse, differential switch, etc.). To solve this, reset the protection device. If it triggers again, do not use the water cleaner and consult a qualified technician.

Why is my Comet KE classic Pressure Washer vibrating a lot and noisy?

  If your Comet Pressure Washer vibrates a lot and is noisy, the water filter might be dirty. Also, if you have a KE Super or KE Xtra model, the detergent tap might be open with an empty tank, or the water supply may be insufficient. Clean the filter as described in the “Ordinary maintenance” (for KE Classic) or “Extraordinary Maintenance” (for KE Super and KE Xtra) sections. Close the detergent tap by rotating the knob clockwise. Make sure the water supply is fully open and meets the requirements in the technical data table.

Why won't my Comet Pressure Washer reach maximum pressure?

  If the Comet Pressure Washer high-pressure cleaner will not reach maximum pressure, it could be due to several reasons. The adjusting valve might be set too low, so rotate the knob clockwise (10). If you have a KE Classic model, the nozzle holding head (33) might be in the low-pressure position; if so, rotate it according to Fig. 1 - position b). The water nozzle (34) could also be worn, in which case, replace it.

Why is my Comet KE classic not delivering hot water?

  If the Comet Pressure Washer does not deliver hot water, the gas oil level in the tank might be too low (pilot light (9) ON), the gas oil filter might be clogged, the flame absence device might have triggered (pilot light (15) is ON, or the display visualizes “FL00” for KE Xtra), or the boiler safety thermostat might have triggered. Add gas oil. Refer to the “Extraordinary maintenance” section. Press the button “OFF” (4) and then “ON” (3). If the issue continues, do not use the water cleaner and contact a qualified technician. Let the water cleaner cool down for a few minutes to reset the device. If it triggers again, do not use the water cleaner and contact a qualified technician.

What to do if no water comes out of my Comet Pressure Washer nozzle?

  If no water comes out from the nozzle (34) of your Comet Pressure Washer, it could be due to no water supply or a clogged nozzle. Ensure that the cock is completely open. Clean or replace the nozzle.

Why is the detergent suction poor on my Comet KE classic Pressure Washer?

  If you're experiencing poor detergent suction with your Comet Pressure Washer, the adjusting knob (11) might not be fully opened. Also, if you have a KE Classic model, the nozzle holding head (33) might be in the low-pressure position. Another possibility is that the detergent being used is too viscous. Rotate the knob further clockwise (10). Rotate the nozzle holding head according to Fig. 1 - position a). Use a detergent recommended by the Producer (see the table of detergents) by observing the instructions reported on the plate.

  If, when setting the switch (1) to position “1”, the Comet Pressure Washer does not start and the pilot light (8) (or the display (7) for KE Xtra) is not turned on, it could be that a safety device of the system to which the water cleaner is connected has triggered (fuse, differential switch, etc.), or the plug of the power supply cable is not inserted correctly. Reset the protection device. If it triggers again, do not use the water cleaner and consult a qualified technician. Disconnect the plug from the socket and reconnect it correctly.
