• To prevent hazardous situations from occurring, immediately adjust the spring tension as described in the following section.
Spring pull adjustment:
• With the system released, manually guide the boom to approximately half of its stroke (45°) (FIG. 11A) and leave it. If the boom
tends to fall, use the spring adjuster, turning it clockwise; if instead, the boom tends to rise, use the spring adjuster and turn it anti-
clockwise, see FIG. 11B. The correct balance is when the rod is at 45° and is stationary.
• Once the correct balance of the boom has been found, lock the system using the locknut in the spring mechanism (FIG 11B).
FIG. 11A FIG. 11B
Installation of boom handle:
• Install the handle with the 8 screws provided as shown in gure 12.

4.4.2 ADJUSTMENT OF MECHANICAL STOPS
The manually operated BORDER barrier system is equipped with mechanical stops:
• Adjust the closure stop by turning the screw so that it rests on the spring attachment plate in the horizontal boom position and
secure the screw using its locknut as shown in Figure 13A.
• Adjust the opening stop by turning the screw so that it rests on the spring attachment plate in the vertical boom position and
secure the screw using its locknut as shown in Figure 13B.
