Customizing message settings
From the Messaging screen, tap > Settings. From here you are able to configure the
message settings, including:
Default message app: Tap to change the default SMS app.
Sound: Tap Sound and choose a default notification tone.
Vibrate: Tap to turn the switch on/off for your phone to vibrate when a message is
received.
Group notification message: Tap to turn the switch on/off to auto combine group
message notifications into one group.
Enable gesture: Tap to turn the switch on/off to allow you to adjust the message font
size by pinching open to zoom it, or close to zoom out.
Delete old messages: Tap to set a limit for how long you would like to retain old
messages for before they are automatically deleted.
Retain messages for days: When the Delete old messages switch is turned on, you can
tap Retain messages for days to choose how long you would like to retain old messages
before they are automatically deleted. Once a length of time is chosen, tap SET.
Memory status: Tap do display the amount of SMS and MMS messages used and the
total memory used.
Text (SMS) message settings: Tap to configure advanced SMS settings.
Multimedia (MMS) message settings: Tap to configure advanced MMS settings.
Emergency Alerts: Tap to access emergency alert settings.
