Location
From the Home screen, tap > to enter the Settings screen. Then, choose Personal >
Location. You can allow your device access GPS, Wi-Fi networks, and Cellular networks to
estimate your location. Apps that have your permission can use this information to deliver
location-based services, such as the ability to check in, view commute traffic, or find nearby
restaurants.
From the Location screen, you can perform the following operations:
1. Turn on or off the location service by tapping the switch.
2. Once on, you can set the Mode to:
• High accuracy (Use GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or other cellular networks to determine
location)
• Battery saving (Use Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or other cellular networks to determine
location)
• Device only (Use GPS to determine location)
3. View recent location requests.
4. Check the location services.
Note: Allowing location access may drain your battery. If you need to save battery life then
you can turn it off, though when the switch is off, your device won’t be able to find your
precise location or share it with any apps.
Security
From the Home screen, tap > to enter the Settings screen. Then, choose Personal >
Security. Here you can configure your device’s security settings and choose if and how you
would like to unlock your phone.
Setting a screen unlock pattern
You can set a screen unlock pattern. Once the screen has locked, the pattern you set needs to
be drawn correctly in order to unlock the screen.
