5.4 Attaching the blade/trimmer head
Caution! The brush cutter/grass trimmer must only be used with anylon trimmer line or afour–bladed brush
cutter blade. No other types of cutting attachments may be used.
5.5 Attaching the trimmer head
1. Push theinner flange washer onto thedrive shaft
with theflat side facing outwards. Lock thedrive
shaft by poking thelocking tool (24) through
thehole in theblade guard (attached under
thegearbox) and thehole in thedrive shaft.
2. Screw thetrimmer head on anticlockwise and
tighten it.
3. Make sure that both theblade guard (inner) and
trimmer guard (outer with line cutter) are attached.
5.6 Attaching the brush cutter blade
1. Push theinner flange washer onto thedrive shaft
with theflat side facing outwards. Lock thedrive
shaft by poking thelocking tool (24) through
thehole in theblade guard (attached under
thegearbox) and thehole in thedrive shaft.
2. Fit theblade onto thedrive shaft so that thehole
in thecentre of theblade locates on theprotruding
inner flange washer.
3. Hold theblade in place and fit theouter flange
washer (with theflat side facing theblade).
4. Tighten thenut on thedrive shaft using
theincluded spanner.
Note: The nut has aleft-hand thread).
5. Pass thesplit pin through thehole in thedrive shaft
and open theends to lock thenut.
6. Make sure that theblade is centred and screwed
on tightly.
7. Remove theouter trimmer guard (which theline
cutter is attached to). Remember to reattach
thetrimmer guard if you change back to using
thetrimmer head.
Caution! It is very important that thebrush blade
is centred on theinner flange washer; otherwise
theblade will vibrate and damage theproduct and
might even cause aninjury.
