If removingthe battery,disconnectthe NEGATIVE(Black)wire from its
terminal first, followed by the POSITIVE(Red)wire. Whenre-installing
the battery, alwaysconnectthe POSITIVE(Red)wire to itsterminal first,
followed bythe NEGATIVE(Black)wire.
3. Connectthesecondcable(negative-) to theotherpostof thejumper
battery.
4. Connecttheotherendof thenegativecableto theengineblockof the
tractor,awayfromthebattery.Attachto anunpaintedpartto assureagood
connection.
If thejumperbattery isinstalledonavehicle(i.e. car,truck),doNOTstart
the vehicle'senginewhen jump starting your tractor.
5. Startthetractor(asinstructedearlierinthissectionofthismanual).
6. Setthetractor'sparkingbrakebeforeremovingthejumpercables,inreverse
orderof connection.

2. Ifyourbatterychargerisautomatic,chargethebatteryuntilthecharger
indicatesthatchargingiscomplete.If thechargerisnotautomatic,charge
for nofewerthaneighthours.
Fuse
One20AMPfuseisinstalledinyourtractor'swiringharnesstoprotectthetractor's
electricalsystemfromdamagecausedbyexcessiveamperage.
Iftheelectricalsystemdoesnotfunction,oryourtractor'senginewill notcrank,
firstcheckto becertainthatthefusehasnotblown.It canbefoundat therearof
theunit,underneaththefenderlocatedbythe battery.
Alwaysusea fusewith thesameamperagecapacityfor replacement.
JumpStartiag
Neverjump start a damaged or frozen battery. Becertain the vehicles
do not touch, and ignitionsare off. Donot allow cable clamps to
touch.
1. Connectpositive(+)cableto positivepost(+) ofyourtractor'sdischarged
battery.
2. Connecttheotherendofthecabletothe(positive+)postofthejumperbattery.
