INSTALL BIT AND THROAT PLATE
• Toinstallthe muter bit,followthe instructionsin
theoperator'smanualthatcame withyour muter.
_1_ CAUTION: Make surethe muter bitwill not
stdke the accesson/or any metal surface.
• Selectthe correctsize throat platefor the size of
the muter bit.Align the tab on the throat plate
withthe slotinthe muter extensionand snapIn
place.Make sum the throatplate isfirmlyseated
belowthetable surface.Recheckthe muter bitto
make sum itwillnot strike the throatplate.
_1= WARN ING: The muter throat platesare
includedtoassure no more than 114in.clear-
ance betweenthe cutterandthe openinginthe
throatplate.Use the con,octthrcet plate. Do not
use a router bitsmaller then 114in. or larger
then 2 in.
RELOCATE ONIOFF SWITCH
When usingthe routerextension,it is recommended
that you move the switchboxto the leftside ofthe
table, Todothis:
• Remove the leftand rightendcapson the front
railusinga phillipsscrewdriver.
• Loosenthe hex nut securingthe switchhoxtothe
frontrailand slideswitchboxoffrail,
• Repositionswitchboxto a convenientlocationon
the leftsideofthefront railby slidingthe square
head of the boltinto the lowertrack. "i3ghenhex
nutwithan adjustable wrench.
• Replace railendcapsusing a phillipsscrewdriver.
FINAL PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
• Adjustthe guard/dustcover sothat itwillnot
come in contactwiththe workpieceor cutter
dudnga cuttingoperation.
• Directionoffeed of theworkplace isfrom fightto
leftor fromthe front of the saw toward the back
withthe bit locatedinthe fence opening.

• The workplacemustalways be tight againstthe
guidefence, unless• ball-bearingpilotedbit is
being used. The infeadfence shouldbe adjusted

workpieceafterthe cut passesthe muter bit,
compensatingfor the removed stock.
